Originally conceived and designed for tournament angling, the award-winning Nitro Vapor rods have proven immensely popular for fishing applications way beyond their initial design parameters. With their unique action, achieved through the application of advanced design concepts allied to advanced carbon-fibre composites, the Vapor rods provide that elusive ‘feel’ so sought after by skilled tournament lure anglers. Yet, from the time of their release we’ve had numerous requests from Nitro owners to bring out the same rods without the fancy guides and embroidered rod case, effectively making it more affordable for the non-tournament angler. Fuji Alconite guides were more than adequate they said – same as on their other Nitros. Well, they’ve finally arrived are now available in 6’6” and 7′ versions and after months of field testing we have to admit it’s hard to tell the difference in performance from their tournament versions. If you’re after an awesome trout, bass or bream rod, these Vapors have all the performance attributes of the originals, but at a very attractive price.
